Mitchell S. Wallace
Director of Property Management
Mr. Wallace has an extensive career history in the commercial real
estate industry, having been employed by both privately held,
entrepreneurial firms as well as one of the larger, publicly
traded Real Estate Investment Trusts in the Midwest.
Mr. Wallace began his tenure at HSS Management in 2005 as Property
Manager and was promptly promoted to Director of Property
Management in 2006. Mr. Wallace is directly responsible for all
aspects of property management including property maintenance,
facility renovations, tenant improvements, tenant relations and
annual budgeting for the property portfolio owned and operated by
HSS Management Company and its affiliated entities.
Prior to HSS Management, Mr. Wallace was employed by Great Lakes
REIT as Property Manager and was actively engaged in the
management of multiple Class A office properties in the Chicago
suburbs. In addition to managing a maintenance and administrative
staff, Mr. Wallace was responsible for providing on-going,
in-depth asset reports to the executive management members of this
publicly traded Real Estate Investment Trust.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Wallace was employed as National Asset
Manager for Demas Real Estate Associates. Demas, based in Chicago,
is a private real estate investment company which operated over
1500 multifamily rental units located throughout five upper
Midwest states. Mr. Wallace provided intensive day-to-day asset
management of these assets, with a primary focus on improving the
leasing and maintenance functions at the property level.
Mr. Wallace began his career in 1991 as Regional Asset Manager for
Tri-United Companies, a small privately held real estate
investment company based in Skokie, IL. Tri-United owned and
managed over 400 multi-family units. Mr. Wallace managed multiple
properties while supervising an in-house management and
maintenance staff and developing successful marketing and
advertising programs to successfully increase occupancy levels.
Mr. Wallace is a member of the International Council of Shopping
Centers.
